Postcrossing Meeting Antwerpen, 18 mei 2013

Alle postcrossers zijn welkom op de Internationale Postcrossing Meeting in Antwerpen op zaterdag 18 mei 2013.

Dagprogramma (ieder onderdeel kan apart gevolgd worden) :

- 10 u. tot 10.30 u. samenkomst in het Centraal Station van Antwerpen (inkomhal aan de stenen trappen)

- bezoek aan het postkantoor, toeristische bezienswaardigheden van Antwerpen en kaartenwinkeltjes, met een snack onderweg

- vanaf 14 uur tot 18 uur (de toeristische groep komt aan rond 14.30 uur) : in het zaaltje op het eerste verdiep van Café den Engel (koopmanshuis uit de 14de eeuw, Grote Markt, op de hoek aan het Stadhuis) :

signeren van kaartjes (breng je postcrossingkaarten mee die je gaat verzenden en laat ze tekenen door alle aanwezigen, breng je adressen mee voor kaartjes die je op deze dag koopt)

+ ruilen van ad/free en Boomerang kaarten

+ zoals je ziet is er een “Postcrossing Meeting Antwerpen”-postkaart

+ verkoop tegen kostprijs van kaartjes van kaart-stocks (bv. kaarten die je in grote hoeveelheid hebt laten drukken / bv. je kocht een lot of doos kaarten en hebt er teveel dezelfde of er zitten kaarten tussen die niet jouw stijl zijn, …). Breng dus zeker je kaarten mee die je wil verkopen / ruilen.

Natuurlijk kan je ook alleen komen signeren en/of kopen en/of ruilen.

Breng zeker 1, 2 en 5 Euro’s en wat kleingeld mee voor een gemakkelijke betaling van kaarten en drank.

- 18.30 uur : mogelijkheid om samen te gaan eten mits reservatie

All postcrossers are welcome on the Postcrossing Meeting in the beautiful city of Antwerp, on Saturday 18th of May 2013.

The program for the day (participation to each separate part is possible)

- 10 till 10.30 h. meeting each other at the Central Station Antwerp (entrance hall, stone stairs)

- a stop at the post office (for those who need stamps to write and sign postcards in the afternoon)

- visit of the main tourist sights of Antwerp, stops at stores where they sell postcards, a snack on the way

- from 14 till 18 h. (the touristic group arrives around 14.30 h.) : room on the first floor of Café Den Engel (merchand’s house from the 14^th century, Market Place, at the corner with the City Hall) :

signing of cards (bring your postcrossing cards that you’re about to send and let them sign by all the participants, bring your addresses for new postcards of the day)

+ swapping ad/free and Boomerang cards

+ there is a Postcrossing Meeting Antwerp postcard as you can see

+ selling at cost price of stock postcards (e.g. your cards printed in large quantities/ e.g. you bought a lot or box of cards and you have too many cards of the same theme or you have cards that aren’t your style, …). Bring your postcards that you want to sell/swap. Of course you are also welcome to only sign and/or trade and/or swap.

Please bring 1, 2 and 5 Euro’s and some change with you for an easy payment of cards and drinks

- at 18.30 : possibility for those who like to have dinner together (only with reservation)

A man gets on the train with a suitcase. I tell you this because you can only see his hand and his shirt in the background. He travels in time in Flanders. Take a close look to travel with him. The mysterious and anonymous text on an old postcard (violets on the front side) says, with mistakes : “Grandma, everything will be ok”.
