St. Saviour’s Cathedral Bruges

marked by fires, reconstructions, enlargements, destructions, renovations and restorations since the 10th century and so to see some windows disappeared by one of these actions.  

It was because of a group of about 20 Japanese tourists that were all looking up to the tower and making pictures, that I realized how really impressive this building is.

The name in English is much easier than the one we have.  The French have it in their own language too : Cathédral St. Sauveur.

For us it is : St.Salvator’s kathedraal. Yes, we Flemings are supposed to understand  latin as well as many other languages.
