 Shishi odoshi (Zoo van Antwerpen, Antwerp Zoo, Today’s Flowers #4, photoshop) |
|
 Oorspronkelijk waren de shishi odoshi herten- en vogelverjagers om de jonge rijstplanten te beschermen, nu zijn ze ook een rustgevend Japans tuinelement.
In origin the shishi odoshi were used to scare deer and birds in order to protect the young rice plants, now they are also a restful Japanese garden element.

These are very nice. I have seen them but only one at a time.
We had the tail end of Hurricane Ike here all day. I lost my cherry tree and a lot of limbs. The neighbors lost three trees and they fell on a power line and that weight broke the power pole. Not a good day here in SW Ohio.
